This woman used a six-gore skirt pattern to make a flamenca practice skirt, then she cut out 27 inch circles with voille, cotton, rayon, polkadots, flowers, maroon, blue. I like the Kaffe Fassett color combo of blue and maroon, it's not really maroon, more the color of crepe myrtles. I'll have to check the box of crayons to tell me the name of this color. For the frills, she used 25 inch circles with 8 inch holes sewn end to end. She looks tiny and used 5 meters of black fabric and 3 meters of polka dots. That translates to someone figured it out 6 yards of 60 inch fabric and 3 and a half yards of polka dots. And you will see these dresses really are worth buying instead of trying to make one because of all the finishing of the edges of the ruffles. There is also a pattern you can buy from Folkwear (pattern #140). Magenta?
